Voters should read this powerful editorial

This morning’s Baltimore Sun had a powerful editorial written by an Egyptian immigrant, Amgad Naguib. I believe it should be read by every voter before going into the polls. It is a reminder of what America is and what it means to be an American. Unfortunately, too many of us seem to have forgotten in these final days of a vitriolic campaign our immigrant roots, not to mention our Christian heritage and Pope Francis’ message of reaching out to those at the margins.

One might also want to reread the parable of the Good Samaritan.
