Federica Tourn is an Italian journalist who has written extensively on abuse within the Catholic Church. She writes for the daily newspaper Domani and in January 2023 won the Mimmo Candito Journalism Prize for an article reporting on sexual abuse against women religious.
Focolare, one of the largest lay organizations in the Catholic Church, published its first report on cases of sexual abuse within its ranks in March. One abuse victim told NCR the report was "a smoke and mirrors operation."
