Everyone should read the homily the Holy Father delivered on New Year's Day. It explains exactly what the pope is trying to accomplish in the Church.
You can't always count on the secular press to really grasp what us religious folk are about, but the Guardian's editorial about Pope Francis was really on the money.
A climate change skeptic yields to the evidence. WaPo has the story. I remember some in Catholic circles invoking Andreas Muenchow when they were rebutting, or prebutting, the pope's encyclical on climate change. I hope they will now look at the issue anew as Muenchow did.
