At The Washington Post, there is a look at a testy confrontation in the Senate Finance Committee between Sens. Sherrod Brown and Orrin Hatch. Fact checkers demonstrate that Brown was right and Hatch was wrong on the merits of the issue about who benefits from the tax bill. 

Also at the Post, take a look at one of President Trump's judicial nominees, one of the few who got a "not qualified" rating from the American Bar Association. And that's the least of it.

At Foreign Policy, Ben Wittes and Susan Hennessey look at the Democrats' hypocrisy on the issue of corruption, at least when it comes to Sen. Robert Menendez. They have a point.
