It’s nearly 7:30 p.m. central time in Kansas City, Mo. With a quick check I find that we are just short of the goal for our webathon today. If we can raise $2,500 before midnight Kansas City time, we will have made the goal. So I’m making a special appeal to our readers who check the website after what we call “normal” business hours. Come on late night and different time zone readers -- let us hear from you. One hundred $25 donations would put us over the top. Can you do it for us?
I know that you are out there. I visit the website, too, late at night. I’m looking for stories; I want to see what the latest buzz is in the comment boxes. So I know there is lots of activity on this website when I should be sleeping. Come on. If you’re reading this message now, you are visiting outside “normal” Kansas City hours. Let’s show the “normal” visitors that we can pay our way.
If we can raise $2,500 in the next four and half hours, we will be on target to make our total goal. Please do what you can. A donation of $5, $10, $15, $20 is not too small.
