Cavan W. Concannon is John R. Tansey Chair in Christian Ethics and professor of religion and classics at the University of Southern California. He is the author of "When You Were Gentiles": Specters of Ethnicity in Roman Corinth and Paul’s Corinthian Correspondence (Yale 2014), Assembling Early Christianity: Trade, Networks, and the Letters of Dionysios of Corinth (Cambridge 2017), Profaning Paul (Chicago 2021) and (with Jill Hicks-Keeton) Does Scripture Speak for Itself: The Museum of the Bible and the Politics of Interpretation (Cambridge 2022).
