First Things First - Faith In Recovery

Recovery, the power of story, in the silence of Centering Prayer

This engaging retreat explores the essential principles that formed the first steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Viewing and discussing The Off-Broadway Production Bill W and Dr. Bob reveals how the lives of two desperate men and an historic convergence of events forged the foundation of faith integral in their recovery and the formation of AA’s first steps. Discourse, journaling and meditation guides retreatants self-discovery of these same essentials and their indispensable role in our recovery.

This retreat is for people who participate in any Twelve Step program, or those who support recovery, and desire to deepen their meditation practice and enrich their spirituality. Partial scholarships are available.
