What is the difference between an endowment donation and a regular donation?

Regular donations to EarthBeat have an immediate positive impact on EarthBeat's current operations. Donations to the Laudato Si' Fund will sustain EarthBeat long term.

When a donation is made to an endowment, it becomes part of a permanent “pool.” The “pool,” or endowment, is invested and managed prudently, in keeping with the precepts of social responsibility. Each year, a percent of the average total market value of the endowment is transferred to the annual budget. That percentage is determined by NCR’s board of directors. So, endowments have a positive impact on the current fiscal year, and future years.

Is there a minimum donation amount for the Laudato Si’ endowment?

No; gifts of all sizes are gratefully received into the Laudato Si' Endowment Fund.
