NCR online Young Voices columnist Kate Childs Graham has launched a new Web site, www.ThankYouSister.com, where she is collecting letters in support of women religious.
Visit the Web site for complete details, but basically Kate is looking for letters that "share personal stories about how women religious have impacted your 'quality of life,' express messages of gratitude and/or convey general messages of support."
Kate says the letters will be posted to the Web site beginning in November and they will be sent to Mother Mary Clare Millea (the Vatican appointed apostolic visitator to U.S. women religions), Cardinal Franc Rodé (prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, who ordered the apostolic visitation of U.S. women religious, Cardinal Francis George (archbishop of Chicago and president of the U.S. bishops' conference), and Pope Benedict XVI.
Visit www.ThankYouSister.com for instructions on how to send you letter, or send questions to thankyousister@gmail.com.

Kate just sent me note a few minutes ago: "After launching [the Web site] last night, we've already received several letters, many people have written to say they plan to write letters, and the Web site has had several hundred hits. Hopefully, this means this thing is taking off!"
