ABC to air documentary on Mejdugorje
According to Ave Maria Press, ABC's Nightline will air a documentary about Mary, the Mother of God, on Wednesday, June 29, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the first apparition at Mejdugorje. The documentary will look at other apparitions and Mary's influence as well.
Ave Maria author Christine Watkins was interviewed for the documentary. (Various bloggers and Facebook messages state the the documentary will air on June 22.) As yet, there is no information on the Nightline schedule from the ABC Web site.
On April 13, 2010, NCR reported that "The Vatican had announced March 17 that at the request of the bishops of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith had established an international commission to investigate the claims of six young people who said Mary appeared to them daily beginning in 1981."

wasn't that place shut down
wasn't that place shut down or something because of the priest?

Since its inception in the 1980's over 40 million people have made a pilgrimage to Medugoreje. Millions have found themselves able to pray the full Rosary effortlessly, climb a steep and rocky mountain with ease, and attend Mass and almost constant confessions in every major language in St James Church.
Moreover whether one believes the visionaries or not, millions have experienced the presence of Heaven while there, and had deeply personal
"signal graces" if they were came with open ,if not slightly skeptical, hearts. As with Lourdes and Fatima there is always some controversy and the Church has neither approved or disapproved Medugoreje, but if the fruits are any indication of authentic ness then 30 years of pilgrimages and the number of conversions accounted for will bode well for Medugorje. Ask anyone who has gone there they will not be hard to find.

Charles, if it wasn't then it should have been, not just because of one priest but the exploitation of the faithful by whole Franciscan Order that lead to their Minister Generals.
It was the biggest money making racket of the century and Rome wanted it to return under their juristriction which it finally was.
To make it worse, more than one Australian bishop made his way over there, giving it their mark of authenticity to confuse the issue.
It seems to have gone under the radar due to all the abuse cases worldwide.
