Xenophobes in Europe

In this morning's Washington Post, Anthony Faiola looks at the efforts of Martine Le Pen to forge a Europe-wide coalition of nationalist parties. This is as frightening a bit of news as I can imagine. Yes, as he writes, "forging an alliance of xenophobes is proving to be just as hard as it sounds," but the rise of racist, anti-Semitic nationalism in Europe has about the ugliest history imaginable and no one should be unconcerned about Le Pen and her efforts.
