I received a mailing yesterday, encouraging me to vote for a slate of candidates in next month’s Democratic Primary here in Maryland. They forgot to run the text past a good editor.
Among the items, was this recommendation for the candidacy of Justin Ross, a nice young man who is currently serving in the Maryland House of Delegates: “He has helped pass legislation to increase funding for drug addiction and local police departments.” I am sure that what Mr. Ross meant to say is that he has supported legislation to combat, or to heal, or to treat, drug addiction.
