At RNS, Mark Silk asks: Who wants to muzzle Bill Donohue? Form a line. Seriously, Silk points how just how counter-productive are Donohue's relentless apologetics for bishops who failed to live up to their own rules on child protection. I know that some clerics think the work of the Catholic League is important, but if it is that important, they need to find new leadership.
