In case you missed it, in addition to his wonderful sermon at the Pro-Life Vigil, Cardinal Sean O'Malley gave a splendid interview with the Boston Herald this past week about pro-life issues. It makes me very hopeful for the future that the whole world is getting to see what those of us who know him have seen for a long-time, a bishop with the heart of a pastor, the mind of a scholar, and the soul of a very holy man, presenting the Church's teachings in their fullness, and, critically, understanding that to be presented in their fullness, those teachings must come wrapped in the cloak of mercy and love.
