In discussing the agenda, Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the archbishop emeritus, asked that the USCCB state their support for Cardinal Timothy Dolan's prior letter to the Speaker of the House, urging passage of immigration reform. The full body approved the motion by a unanimous voice vote.
