Not sure how I missed this when it was first posted, but New York's Cardinal Timothy Dolan came out swinging on his blog about the protests against the unaccompanied and undocumented children coming to the border. "It was un-American; it was un-biblical; it was inhumane, " Dolan wrote. And, closer to home for me, the Maryland Catholic Conference has offered its assistance to re-settle the refugee children and urged that all levels of government take responsible action to alleviate the human suffering. Our bishops are doing us proud at this moment and on this issue, no matter what we think about their performance on other issues.
