The opening sentence of this report from Vatican Radio, about the Holy Father's words to a group of Japanese students, says it all: "Peace cannot be built without dialogue founded on meekness." A learned and wise friend sent me the link and suggested the headline could have been: "USCCB, Stick a Fork In It; The Culture Warrior Model is Dead." Certainly, the "Fortnight Freedom" was not precisely an exercise in meekness.
