Over at Vatican Insider, Andrea Tornielli reports on the Holy Father's sermon yesterday at Palm Sunday Mass. It is obvious that some of Tornielli's longtime sources are grumbling about the pope. And, no wonder when he posed this question: "Am I like those leaders who went to Pontius Pilate the next day to tell him that Jesus said he would be resurrected and blocked life by blocking the entrance to the tomb to defend the doctrine, so that life could not come out?” But, as Tornielli correctly notes, it is possible to be profound and simple at the same time, something that too many Vaticanistas fail to grasp. The people in the square understood - they were silent, listening intently.
