Appreciation: John Krejci, excommunicated with Call to Action Nebraska in 1996, died Aug. 11 at age 84. He blessed all that he did with a spark of life. He knew goodness and truth when he saw it and spoke up when he didn't see it.
Commentary: Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz's 1996 decree excommunicating all Call to Action members in his Lincoln Diocese has had a profound effect, but the bridge his successor Bishop James Conley is trying to build only adds to an already confusing situation.
