In the wake of the economic fallout due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vatican Secretariat for the Economy said it expects a multimillion-dollar deficit in its budget for 2021.
Pope Francis has now appointed three of his former confreres in the Society of Jesus to the Vatican's highest posts. He is also including more members of his order in the College of Cardinals.
