Vatican sex, money scandals subject of PBS documentary

PBS’ award winning news and documentary program, “Frontline,” is to air tonight (Feb. 25) “Secrets of the Vatican,” from British director Antony Thomas and co-producer Jason Berry, a name that should be well-known to NCR readers.

Most PBS stations will broadcast the show Tuesday, February 25, at 9 p.m. eastern time, but check your local TV listings to get the correct time.

Sr. Rose Pacatte to receive University of Dayton's Kane Award

Sr. Rose Pacatte, a member of the Daughters of St. Paul who writes and speaks about film, has been named the recipient of the Daniel J. Kane Religious Communications Award, given by the Institute for Pastoral Initiatives at the University of Dayton.

Pacatte will receive her award March 6 as part of the institute's Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation's Diocesan Partners Convocation. The award is given for the use of mass media to communicate Gospel values.

Facebook at 10: a Christ-haunted political forum, family reunion, prayer group

Last week marked the 10th anniversary of Facebook, the social networking site founded more or less (see the 2010 film "The Social Network") by Mark Zuckerberg in his dorm room at Harvard University. OK, Wikipedia says he co-founded Facebook with four other guys, but we really don't remember them, do we?
