Bringing service
Reflect on the following:
How much of what you do each day is service and what part is just work?
Meditation
Stand in an open doorway. Take a deep breath and deliberately unite with the Holy One’s presence. Call to mind the inner qualities you bring with you into your labors. Extend your arms outward beyond the door. As you do so, send forth your earnest love toward those who are a part of your life today. Imagine this love blessing them. Continue standing in the doorway. Now extend your love to the larger world. Face the East. Send your love to this part of the world. Do the same for the South, the West, and the North. Close by folding your hands over your heart and extending this same goodness to yourself.
Prayer
Teacher and Healer,
your brought the gift of yourself
to those who benefited from your work.
You touched them with wellsprings of love.
Remind me each day to do the same.
Consecrate all I do today
so my service to others brings a blessing.
I open the door of my heart to you.
I open the door.

I have enjoyed your reflections for over 10 years, in "Living Faith." I have just "discovered" your weekly reflections now through NCR. I thank you for the insights and beautiful writings you have provided over the years, and look forward to future ones! Will you be giving any workshops or presentations near El Paso, TX or Las Cruces, NM in the next year?
Thank you kindly.
In His Peace,
Christina

Thank you. This is very centering. Full of peace.
I like that you combine words
I like that you combine words with other aspects of communication -- breathing, hands, doorways, etc. It is so much easier to make the prayer real and present in the moment by adding all of our selves to the words ! Thank you ! [It is so easy to be overloaded with so many words these days (talk shows, opinion polls, rote prayers, etc.), and, as such, they can lose their meaning because they very often come without much thought, without a desire to genuinely communicate [listen, empathize, etc.) with each other, or without connecting / translating our words into actions.
