Philly abuse trial: Jury begins deliberation

 |  NCR Today

The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that the jury has begun deliberation on the first trial of a church official for the cover-up of priest sex abuse.

Consisting of seven men and five women, with two alternates on standby, the jury received the case midday today after more than an hour of instructions from Common Pleas Court Judge M. Teresa Sarmina, the Inquirer reported.

Check back next week as NCR will have analysis of the landmark case now in the hands of the jury.
