MaryAnn Murtha, a resident of Newtown, Conn., teaches communications at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. Murtha recently wrote a column in her local paper in which she advocates for naming the slaughter of 20 little kids and six adults in her town "12/14," the date on which the semi-automatic machine gun killings took place, not "Newtown" or "Sandy Hook." Her point is well taken.
