Fr. Cutie and John Edwards

 |

Sr. Mary Ann Walsh, director of media relations at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, published a guest commentary with Religion News Service. Her piece, "Broken Promises," discusses the similarities between the infidelities of Fr. Alberto Cutie, the Miami priest who has come clean about a sexual relationship with a woman, and one Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.

(Elizabeth Edwards is on a book tour with her Resilience, which examines the effects of a fractured relationship on a spouse.)

Walsh writes: "Neither man's story is just a personal one." Read the full piece for yourself.
