Vincent Miller, newly appointed professor of theology at the University of Dayton, has written an insightful essay on Benedict's new encyclical, Caritas in Veritate. He points out that Benedict honors Paul VI’s Populorum Progressio "as the Rerum Novarum of the present age” and says the pope is not subjugating justice to charity.
