Sr. Simone Campbell talks LCWR and Nuns on the Bus

 |  NCR Today

Social Service Sr. Simone Campbell said the Leadership Conference of Women Religious will be "another step in the dark, faithful to mission." In her Aug. 7 trip to Kansas City, Mo., Campbell, executive director of the lobbying group NETWORK, visited NCR headquarters to talk about LCWR, health care, her book Nuns on the Bus and more.

The 14-minute video interview features Global Sisters Report staff writer Dawn Araujo, who also asks for Campbell's input on Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan's newest anti-poverty plan. Campbell called it a "step forward" for mentioning poverty, but calls his solutions "simplistic."

Take a look at the video below for the entire interview. For more on LCWR, which is meeting this week, skip ahead to the 11-minute mark.
