The Washington Post has a report this morning on yesterday's congressional hearing into the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi last September. There is no issue that dramatized the partisanship of Fox and MSNBC than the Benghazi attack. Fox claims there was a cover-up and Sean Hannity says it is like Watergate. At MSNBC, they mention Ben Gay more often than they do Benghazi. It is important for Congress to get to the bottom of what did and did not happen. I think liberals would be well served to take the attack, the death of four Americans, and the post-attack responses more seriously than they are. And I think conservatives would be well served by toning down the rhetoric and making it clear that they want the truth more than they want a talking point.
