Fr. Joseph Komonchak at Commonweal asked the other day: If we don't sing Advent hymns during Advent, when will we? I concur. Anything we can do to rescue the season of Advent from the encroachments of the consumerists who do not understand that Christmas begins on the 25th, it doesn't end then.
